Lots of changes this month for Tang lab..

We sadly say Goodbye to three lab members. We wish them all the very best for their futures; Mariya who is heading to the USA to undertake a post-doc position with Daniel Portnoy's lab, Sarah who is joining biotech company Evotec as a principal scientist and Cara who is undertaking a post-doc in Biochemistry with Paul Elliot's group.

Welcome to Rebekah who joins Tang lab as our new post-doc.

Farewell to Chloe who has successfully completed her rotation project in the lab, whilst never being in the lab! We all hope to be able to meet Chloe in person one day soon.

Congratulations to Gerda on winning the Wronker Research Project Prize for meritorious performance in her research project. Gerda received this award from the University's Medical Science Division for her project with Tang lab entitled 'Characterisation of a Putative Type VI Secretion System Effector-Immunity Pair from a Human Commensal Bacterium' .

Hurrah! The Dunn School has received good news.. the Department can re-open in the near future. Chris, Rachel and Lindsay are on the case planning a socially distanced lab layout in preparation for the big day..

Lockdown continues and sadly the Dunn School and Oxford remain closed..

Tang lab though have embraced Teams and Zoom for remote working and coffee catch ups!

Congratulations to George on the publication of his DPhil work in EMBO J on bacterial rhomboid proteases.

Welcome to Chloe who joins Tang lab (albeit remotely) to undertake a WT DPhil rotation project for the next few months.
